Members of the Association of British HealthTech Industries’ (ABHI) senior leadership team will be attending Medica 2019 to offer knowledge, expertise and support to its UK exhibitors.
Attending the international exhibition in Dusseldorf will be:
Richard Phillips, director, healthcare policy: Richard joined ABHI in June 2015 with over 20 years’ experience in the Life Sciences. With connections into the NHS and its leadership structures, Richard has a great understanding of policy, NHS direction and the opportunities for UK companies. Richard also leads on ABHI’s Brexit work.
Phil Brown, director, technical and regulatory: Phil has experience working with novel technologies and liaising with national authorities, the European Commission, trade associations and standards bodies on issues related to regulation and ethics. Phil has knowledge of HealthTech regulation in the UK and Europe and is currently supporting companies in their transition to the regulations.
Andrew Davies, director, market access: Andrew has responsibility for ensuring that processes are aligned and optimised to support the introduction and uptake of technologies and best practices. This entails creating an ongoing dialogue between industry and policy makers to ensure efficient and effective access and payment structures are created and maintained. In addition to the Market Access portfolio, Andrew also leads on the ABHI Ethics and Compliance program. This includes credentialing, Code of Business Practice and Human Rights.
Paul Benton, managing director, international at the ABHI said: “Richard, Phil and Andrew will be on hand to offer support, answer questions and share their expertise with UK companies. It is the first time we have taken the ABHI leadership team to MEDICA and it’s all part of our commitment to offer full support to the companies that exhibit with us.”
Medica takes place from 18-21 November in Dusseldorf.
