A complex tube set used to preserve donor livers will be the main focus for Raumedic at Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2020.
At stand C108, visitors will be made familiar with the product that provides vital support in “metra”, a fully automated device for extracorporeal liver perfusion manufactured by British company OrganOx.
The Raumedic tube set comprises more than 200 individual components bringing together in-house extruded silicone and PVC tubing along with various moulded parts. The disposable tube set is assembled with great care in Raumedic’s class 7 cleanroom in Helmbrechts, Germany, before it is delivered to the customer as a sterile ready-to-use unit.
Raumedic will also be showcasing various other products made from thermoplastics and silicone. The company’s portfolio ranges from extruded tubing and moulded parts to more complex solutions such as intelligent catheters or groups of components for wearable drug delivery devices.
Chris Brown, UK sales manager, said: “We perceive ourselves as a customer-centric development partner and complete solution provider for the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries. Raumedic is capable of supporting its customers from product concept to design and from 3D-printed prototype construction to fully validated, sterile packed serial production. In doing so, we’re taking care of important key processes of the product lifecycle management. And this is what we would like to convey in Birmingham from 1st to 2nd April."
