Symbol of rise in demand
Initial customer forecasting made it clear that changes in the production capacity would need to be implemented almost instantly to meet their production needs.
Within a two-week timeframe, Pentagon Plastics implemented a third shift to its production facility. Creating new shifts to work throughout the night, the company ensured the staff were experienced members of both moulding technicians and production operators.
As a result of staff moving shifts to accommodate the uplift in production demand this left the teams on the day and evening shifts understaffed, meaning the company had to swiftly recruit new team members. This ensured the continuity to meet current and future demand for the wider customer base while still fulfilling the upturn in production.
