TriMedika – a medical technology manufacturer providing clinical devices for hospitals worldwide – is joining the ABHI UK Pavilion at MEDICA 2022 to showcase TRITEMP, a non-contact in temperature measurement device.
This year the company will also be presenting at the exhibition on the key topic of sustainability in the healthtech sector.
Founded in 2016, TriMedika manufactures accurate clinical devices for hospitals worldwide. Inspired by first-hand experience of the challenges of healthcare and applying fresh thinking to solve simple but critical everyday issues, the company’s vision is to improve patient care globally with technology that safeguards patients and carers.
The company’s flagship product TRITEMP, a medically graded professional non-contact thermometer – CE marked and manufactured in Europe – is a precision engineered tool designed to positively impact patient care and control infection across healthcare globally. Whilst there was a clear need for the product before the pandemic, the COVID-19 crisis has further highlighted the infection risks associated with contact.
TriMedika currently supplies to hospitals in 21 countries through its distribution partners. The company is already active in its plans to enter the US market.
The company had an invitation to Downing Street to meet the prime minister as part of the London Innovation Showcase. TriMedika was shortlisted for Disruptor of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2021. CEO Dr Roisin Molloy was shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 Awards.
CEO Dr Roisin Molloy said: “There have been very few developments within the thermometry industry for many years. So, we set about designing a non-contact infrared thermometer, accurate and robust enough to stand up to use in busy hospital wards. The benefits in terms of infection control and improved patient comfort are significant.”
TRITEMP is the thermometer of choice for hospitals, many of which are now mandating non-contact for all clinical wards to advance their infection control strategies, reduce costs, introduce process efficiency gains, and improve patient outcomes from the outset.
Over 1,000 hospitals globally, including specialist units such as neonatal wards and ICU’s, have switched to TRITEMP. By introducing TRITEMP hospitals can confidently gain many benefits across staffing, workflows, and costs.
During the exhibition Dr Roisin Molloy will be discussing the topic of ‘How can the HealthTech industry can become a pioneer when it comes to sustainability?’ As sustainability in healthcare leads the agenda, the presentation discussion points will cover several areas, including:
- Non- waste generating devices
- The importance of collaboration with robust and quality manufacturers
- Cost sustainability Vs Consumable model
- Plastic Consumables & Infection Control
Dr Molloy’s presentation will take place on the 'UK Presentation Theatre’ located on the ABHI & DIT UK Pavilion’ in hall 16 Stand J42.
MEDICA is taking place from 14 – 17 November 2022 and throughout the show, TriMedika will be located on the ABHI UK Pavilion – Hall 16 stand H48.
