The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has organised Taiwan Pavilion under which 18 medical device companies from Taiwan will exhibit at this year’s MEDICA in Dusseldorf.
The Taiwan Pavilion exhibitors will demonstrate features and advantages of their products in Hall 16 / C36. Visitors will be able to examine the showcased products displayed and interact with the manufacturers face-to-face.
Taiwan has ample hospital facilities for performing clinical trials, which has served to strengthen its biotech and medical industries. With a strong foundation in manufacturing, Taiwan has extensive experience in offering OEM and ODM services for medical device companies, as well as, comprehensive supply chains in ICT and precision machinery. This therefore makes Taiwanese medical companies ideal partners for collaborating with in delivering smart and innovative medical devices and solutions.

Portable ultrasound and telemedicine cart (Asustek)
A handheld scanner for medical imaging, has market-ready telemonitoring and consulting solutions that provides support for medical providers.
Magnetically controlled capsule endoscope (Insight Medical Solutions)
Tiny endoscope probe that provides real-time video and control through a magnetic field navigator for detection of abnormalities in the upper digestive tract.
Medical wearable thermometer (Iweecare)
Continuous real-time temperature data monitoring solution tailored for infants, young children, the elderly, post-surgery patients, and chemotherapy patients.
Surgical navigation system (Eped)
Precise optical space location technology that provides navigation for neurosurgery, plastic, oral, maxillofacial, and other minimally invasive surgeries.
MicroRNA-based endometrial receptivity analysis (Quark Biosciences)
Less invasive test using a tiny novel biomarker for IVF patients with a success rate of 70%. It provides simpler and faster analysis time and a higher reproducibility compared to NGS.
TAITRA has also set up a virtual pavilion for those unable to travel to meet the exhibitors. The virtual pavilion features information about the exhibiting companies and their products. Those interested are also able to register for online meetings with the exhibitors during show dates.
TAITRA will be showcasing how Taiwan can play a key role in the evolution of medtech at the Taiwan Pavilion in Hall 16 / C36 from 15-18 November.
