Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and digital innovator Patchwork have won an award for digital transformation at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2019.
The partnership was named winners in the Medical Software, Systems and Technology category for a digital solution which provides NHS locums with the ability to easily book bank shifts via an app.
Rob Hodgkiss, chief operating officer at the Trust said: “We are thrilled to have won this award. Through our partnership with Patchwork we have improved bank staff fill rates and reduced agency spend. This demonstrates how through sector-leading innovation we continue to deliver value for money and first class patient care.”
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was also highly commended in the Workforce Innovation category and shortlisted for the Best Educational Programme for the NHS.
The awards are run by health publication the Health Service Journal.
