Digital twin technology firm Iotics has launched its CriticalCare Project to help provide the real-time status of critical care availability across the UK.

The technology also has the potential to add new sources of data for test results, ventilator utilisation, patient administration and more. Iotics’ digital twin technology enables interactions between any asset – people, places or things – with access to all data and controls associated with them.

As part of the initial phase, Iotics has created a digital twin of every hospital in England with the number of critical care beds and is encouraging authorities and hospitals to provide the essential bed availability data: https://www.iotics.com/covid-19-response/. The aim is to empower hospital managers to coordinate resources locally and direct patients to available beds and ventilators, while also providing a national view of resources.
