CNUK Medtech Solutions – the UK and Chinese healthcare industry specialist – will host an international summit on innovative medical technology exchange in Nanjing on 26 June 2019.
The summit takes place during Nanjing Tech Week, and event for innovators to exchange ideas and showcase technologies.
CNUK Medtech Solutions is a China-UK joint venture specialising in facilitating and accelerating the introduction of medical technology from the UK to China. Its team of UK and Chinese healthcare industry specialists has experience in product development and marketing in both countries, and in bringing new products from the West to the Chinese system.
CNUK has been invited to attend Nanjing Tech Week as guests of the Nanjing Municipal Government and will host the ‘International Summit on Innovative Medical Technology Exchange’ from its new intellectual property trading office and demonstration space on Wednesday 26 June.
Guests invited to join the Summit include members of the Department for International Trade of the British Consul General in Shanghai and representatives from the Jiangsu (provincial), Nanjing (municipal) and Xuanwu (district) governments.
Representatives from UK companies in the healthcare industry – including medical innovators ClearSky Medical Diagnostics, RD Biomed, Veraz, Tranquality and Aelius Biotech – will introduce and showcase their technologies and innovations to representatives from the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, investment firms, local distributors and Chinese universities.
The official CNUK office opening event will feature speeches on UK-China cooperation by James Maguire, assistant director at the UK Department for International Trade Shanghai, and the partnership opportunities to commercialise novel NHS medtech solutions by Professor Michael Smith of the UK healthcare innovation hub, Medipex.
CNUK will also introduce its new CNUK Fund delivering managed investment opportunities to develop UK early stage innovative medtech products and support their commercialisation in China.
At an evening cocktail event, CNUK will also co-host the 'Challenges and Opportunities for AI and Healthcare in China' discussion panel with Nanjing Healthcare Drinks, the UK Department of Trade and MyBioGate.
