ABHI will host an event later this year to improve gender diversity across the healthtech sector.

Titled ‘Leadership in HealthTech: Towards Greater Gender Diversity and Inclusion’, the event will take place on 2 July at Simmons & Simmons, London.
Over the last year, ABHI has been focusing on steering the industry towards greater inclusion and diversity in its leadership structures. Since September 2017 ABHI has held two events that attracted over 150 delegates, has co-opted two additional women to its Board and has published the first version of the ‘Women in Leadership: Industry Best Practice Document’.
The next event’s speakers include:
Emily Cox, director of Public Affairs, Virgin Money
Dame Louise Makin, CEO of BTG and member of 30% club
Dame Angela Pedder OBE, experienced NHS leader
Sam Smethers, CEO of The Fawcett Society
Audrey Williams, Of Counsel, Simmons and Simmons
The last event aimed to include everyone in the conversation so ABHI is encouraging visitors to bring along both male and female colleagues, as well as teenage children or siblings.
Commenting on the success of our most recent event, Nicky Morgan MP said:
“Enjoyable, inspiring and above all, energising. It was an honour to share the stage with such an illustrious array of speakers and I commend the work ABHI are doing to improve diversity and inclusiveness across the HealthTech sector. The message from the evening was clear; with the right level of support, all women, at any career stage, can become the leader they aspire to be.”
The event will see the relaunch of the Best Practice Document and case studies are available to be submitted by a deadline of 15 June.
