Approved concept
As a result of Brexit, products CE marked in the EU market must now comply with UK regulations in order to be marketed in Great Britain. This regulation provides for the affixing a UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark attesting to the conformity of products. Where the conformity assessment of a product is carried out by a certification body, the latter must be recognised by the local authorities to benefit from the "UK Approved Body" (UKAB) status.
Shortly after having been accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) under ISO/IEC 17065:2012 and granted approved body status, LNE-GMED UK can, from now, offer manufacturers UKCA marking under the following legislation:
- Measuring Instruments Regulations 2016;
- Non-automatic Weighing Instruments (NAWI) Regulations 2016;
- Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for use Outdoors Regulations 2001;
- For Construction Products (Regulation 2011): addition to the scope of accreditation available very soon.
This new recognition enables LNE Group to strengthen its international presence and its relevance in the field of certification.
