Inflow, a science-based digital program for people with ADHD, is delighted to announce it has raised $680,000 in pre-seed funding.
The investors are Rhythm VC and several angel investors, including Mike Gibbs, one of the co-founders of digital health start-up Second Nature.
Inflow was founded by Seb Isaacs, Levi Epstein and ADHD clinician Dr. George Sachs; they have come together with a mission to help every person with ADHD reach their full potential.
Seb Isaacs, Inflow co-founder, said: “We are thrilled that Rhythm VC and a select group of leading investors believe in Inflow’s mission to help every person with ADHD reach their full potential. ADHD is often overlooked and highly stigmatised, but with Inflow we have the chance to provide life-changing support to millions. We want as many of these people as possible to experience the proven benefits of CBT and to help them overcome their day-to-day challenges; Inflow offers a safe and stigma-free community environment for them to do so.”
ADHD is a neurological difference that usually persists for life. Conservative estimates suggest that it affects 5% of the US population creating an economic impact estimated at nearly $15,000 per person per annum.
There are unique challenges that adults with ADHD face when trying to get treatment; the process requires extensive organisation and time-management skills, and can be expensive, exclusive, laborious and slow.
Inflow was created to offer a viable alternative; a sustainable, accessible and cost-effective solution for those who want support.
Inflow’s seven-week CBT-based program has been specifically designed for people with ADHD, by people with ADHD, and stands out as the first-mover in the space. It is notable for its manageable daily time-commitment and because of the convenience and affordability it provides when compared with alternatives, such as in-person therapy. When you join Inflow, you also get access to a supportive community of like-minded people with ADHD, as well as progress tracking, live events, and ADHD-specific meditations.
Inflow has been developed in close conjunction with a group of leading figures in ADHD and cognitive and behavioural therapy, who are working alongside clinical director Dr. George Sachs on developing the pioneering program.
Levi Epstein, Inflow co-founder and ex-Babylon Health, said: “Using technology to widen access to healthcare seems intuitive to me, and our hope is to help underserved communities by bringing digital health products into the mainstream. Our feedback from beta-members has been very encouraging, and the team and I are excited to see the impact we will have when we launch in April.”
The team are using the funds to ensure they deliver an industry-leading program by growing their scientific advisory team, investing further in the development of their product, and growing the wider team.
Jordan Ryan, managing partner, Rhythm VC, added: “Inflow offers a unique proposition, addressing a real-world issue that affects millions of adults around the globe. We are attracted by the vision and complementary expertise of the founders covering product, tech and science. We are excited about the journey we are embarking on with Inflow and its potential impact for people with ADHD.”
Inflow is currently running a 500+ person beta and working towards a public launch in the US in April.
